Methods for integrating SAP with non SAP systems

Hi Gurus

I am searching this on google but not finding proper info. Can you please give an overview of various methods through which SAP is integrated with non SAP systems. I know EDI/ALE is one way and BAPI is another but I'm looking for some comprehensive information on this topic and usability of these methods in various scenarios.

If you have any requirement related to your project, post here; else avoid posting such generic queries.   Search in Google with the text "integrate sap to non sap systems" so that you will find lot of informations.  Being an old member of the forum, I don't want to stress much on the importance of adhering to SCN rules.  Most importantly, this is not at all related to Sales forum.  If at all you want to gather such informations about integration, post in Process Integration (PI) & SOA Middleware forum
