Hierarchy drill down

Hi Guys,

I have a Webi Report (Cross Tab) with the following columns - Dept Number, Employee Name, Month & Employee Hours.

Currently, the hierarchy defined in the Universe is - "Dept Number, Dept Name & Employee Name". These objects cannot be removed from the "Scope of Analysis" panel.

Now, I want to drill down from "Year" to "Month" and "Month" to "Week"

So, my question is - do I create a new hierarchy in the Universe with the 3 objects (Year, Month & Week) or make changes to the existing hierarchy?

Could anyone please answer this question for me?

Hi Pandey,

Apply custom "Scope of Analysis" of Year-Month-Week and check its getting or not...

What happens if I create a new hierarchy (Year-Month-Year), but also keep the existing hierarchy (Dept Number, Dept Name & Employee Name) ?

Nothing will happen. The hierarchies exist independently and you will be able to drill up and down on both.

Hi

Yes you can create new hierarchy but if you don't have access to universe then go through custom "Scope of Analysis"...
