Not able to load text master data for customer infoobject

Hi Guys,

I am not able  load master data text to the customer infoobject.

I have a infoobject-A which is loaded with 1000 records, out of which only 100 records are with text and remaining are without text.

I have run a repair full request(extraction from ECC) and

i can see data till PSA(the 100 records which are with text are no more available in ECC now).remaining 900 records are available with text till PSA but not updating to target infoobject.

I have 3.X flow and i have checked transfer rules update rules and tried everythign from side-but no use-still not not working.

Please post your suggestions.

can you share your text data source transfer mappings?

at info object which descriptions you maintained. mean short o rmedium or long descriptions?

at transfer structure for which fields and info objects you mapped?

at  source side for which(short/medium or long deswcrptions) fields its have data?

Whats your data source name?

is this data flow is old one and worked properly upto before this issue?

there are some confusions about data/info source names.

your data source is text data source?

some names indicates at hierarchy data source.

at bw side you used ZBRHOLTXT as text field. its fine.

i need to know the field which one you mapped to ZBRHOLTXT.

from your screen shot am unable to fine ecc field.

Yes, this is an old flow and it worked fine-but not sure why this text data is not updating now.

ZBRHOLTXT has been mapped to NAME1 -ecc field.

I havnt seen any record added to the ZBRHOLTXT -but i am able to see increase in transfer records to the onfoobject on daily basis.

before this issue, any chanegs are happens on this data flow?

Can you try to activate info object,info souce and update rules.

later reload the data and see.

recently we have done with our upgradation(3.5 to 7.3) and i am not sure whether it was working fine earlier-but there were few other objects simliar to that which are workign fine now.

Try to activate objects as stated above and see the results.

At dev system are you getting data properly for this data flow?

if yes then again re transport your whole data flow to prod.Later reload the data and see the results.

Hi Ramanjaneyulu,

I found the issue. The length of each record coming from source is 10 and infoobject length is 06. it is just taking six digits out of that and maintaing master data by itself.

One more thing is ALPHA conversion is not updated in the infoobject

Now if i change the the infoobject to APLHA conversion, its gonna deactivate all the transfer rules and updates rules and transformation .

How should i go with.Please let me know guys-without having impact on other objects.

since this object is used everywhere in the cubes , DSO etc

Hi,

if you do the changes to the specific info object, those master data flow only will go inactive,

remaining will be fine.

You can do changes at dev system and see the impacts. you will the inconsistencies at dev only.

After that you can take care all points at prod.

After the changes to that info object, if maintenanained master data then, you may need to reload the whole data. if you get any inconsistencyies, you can do repair by using RSRV tests.

he got text data for 100 records and missing for 900 records.

i think he was selected.
