ERROR8 WHEN LOADING HIERARCHIS

hi frnds,

                    I have an issue related hierarchies in 7.0 version .as I am building my hierarchy in 3.x flow i.e  rsa1old .I have taken sales id as info object and region, office as nodes. it was working fine and I get out put also.when I was trying to add more fields like manager , branch, customer fields it was throughing  the below error. for ur reference I am putting the screen shot of the error.as I am new to this topic so any suggestions will be appreciated. i searched for this but didn't get any correct link .I will assign points at end of the discussion. this is   sample file of hierarchy which I am loading.

Hi Jaswanthi,

You are getting this because flat file structure/data type is not matching with the transfer rules.

so check the data type and its length both in flat file and your objects.

               I have recreated the object and added new fields then also it showing same error. any

Is this flat file data source?

Where your adding mroe fields?

Actually when you got above error? mean while loading or ?

hi ram,

              yes it is flat file datasource . I am adding  fields to the info object sales id which that I was previously used for region and office nodes for the same object I am adding branch manager sales executive, by using external hierarchies option. after that when  I was trying  to load up to psa it showing the above error.

Save and Activate your info object.

Log off and relog into bw server, try to run your info pack.

let see the results.

have you activate your info object after the changes properly?

Above error purely indicates that as your changed structure was not recognized by system.

Again remove added fieds form hierarchy structure, save and actiavte it.

later load old format data to hierarchy, if its works fine.

later again change and add 2 or 3 fields to hierarchy structure.

save and actuvate it.

later try to load new format flat file and see it.
