How to cause of error ID:M7 Msg.:021 in COGI

Hi, all!

I often see the error ID:M7 Msg.:021 "Deficit of BA XX PC: Material code,Plant,Storage location,Batch" in Tr-cd:COGI.

I tried to cause the same error for test, but I couldn't.

<My test condition>

Requirement quantity of production order : 12,000PC

Inventory in storage location: 800PC

How can I cause the error "Deficit~"?

I've already read the past discussion in SCN,

All cause seems to relate to inspection status of inventory.

However, I don't use the inspection status of inventory.

they didn't solve my problem,

because I don't use CO13, but CO11N.

About batch,

the batch is automatically in CO11N with the batch determination function.

About storage location,

the storage location is automatically set in CO11N,

because the production order has the storage location.

I'm sorry for my incomplete explanation.

In this test,

when I executed CO11N,

requirement quantity line 12,000PC is divided into 800PC line and 11,200PC line

automatically.

800 PC line had the batch and 11,200PC line had no batch.

As a result, the error message "Enter Batch" occurred.

However,

users face the different error message "Deficit~" in COGI.

As I'd like to solve this problem,

I'd like to know how to cause the same error message.

Megumi,

Enter the Batch in which there is no Stock for your second line for 11200PC so that system can throw your expecting error and If you have not set terminate confirmation for incorrect goods movements in order type confirmation parameters then entry can be passed to COGI.

In my test condition,

I expected that "Deficit of BA 11,2000 PC: Material code,Plant,Storage location,Batch" was displayed in

COGI, but actually "Enter Batch" was displayed.

I have to answer the reason why this error happened to my client,

but I'm confused I cannot cause the expected error message.

Did you see my previous reply, Try with entering a no stock batch for second line during confirmation so it may post entry in COGI based on your confirmation parameters settings.

Do you mean that I can get the error message if I input the batch number in COGI?

A user doesn't input the batch number by using COGI.

As I wrote in the last message,

we use the batch determination function.

So, the batch number is decided automatically without inputting the batch by manual.

If I misunderstand your message,

It clearly says you have requirement for 12000PC but you have only 8000PC stock available in particular batch and storage location.
