Hi ,

I believe the representative key fields is coming in Open ODS view about which you can get a fairly good understanding from the below link:

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/40f377fd-194d-3110-469b-82a413168...

Characteristic Key fields would be the normal key fields that we have been normally seeing in the DSO's

Hi Jyotsna,

in addition..

Representative key field will come only when you choose semantics as Master data/Texts.

this is mandatory, but characteristics(key) is not mandatory.

this field actually defines the master data of which characteristics.. like representative field as 0material and the attributes of this field , will come under characteristics.

teh characteristics(key) field is optional, and as far as i know we can use this as compounded objects..

like costcentre/controlling area..

hope this answers your question.

Sakthi
