Hello Friends,
We are planning to migrate our HP-UX+Oracle environment to Windows 2012 & SQL 2012, I would like to get your opinion on using high availability solution, like which solution would be the best, I understand requirements and needs are different of every environment.
but still I would like to check on whether we should keep VM HA for production or MSCS.
I appreciate your time and inputs on this or any document which clearly explains pros & cons of both.

hi Kamal
here http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-44415 you can find White paper talking about this matter.
You have following option
- You can use MSCS for SAP in physical environment
- You can use MSCS for SAP in virtual environment withy Hyper-V
-- and have MSCS only for VMs
-- or , you can use MSCS for VMs, and for SAP (guest cluster) without any limitations like Live Migration
best

Hi Kamal: the answer to your question is "it depends". Often VMware HA may be good enough and simpler to implement/maintain than a clustering solution, but by itself, it doesn't monitor de availability of the SAP application, just the VM.
There is an old whitepaper from VMware that compare the 2 technologies. This should help you making your decision. You can get it from this link:
Also check the following document: http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/solutions/sap/SAP-Solutions-on-VMware-Best-Practices-Guide.pdf
