then u should go with adapter module development...which is a critical thing..

<b>Note:</b> file content conversion can be done in two ways..

1.using file Adpter with file content conversion

2.Adpater Module development

guys corrct me if i am wrong here

Hi Kumar,

You want ALE IDOC at the Legacy Side, This is something strange because the legacy system dosent understand ALE IDOC.

In scenarios like SAP R/3 --> XI --> Legacy , In IR we provide system name from which the IDOC is going to come to XI, Even SAP XI plays with XML form of IDOC

The better option is to use XML IDOC which SAP XI uses. Its simple, you can import IDOC structure at receiver side.

I hope this clears your query.

Hi Narendra

Copy the structure of the IDOC and create the target structure so that no need to go for the content conversions..

HI,

take the IDoc into idoc - xml format from we60.

and get that file inot IR under external definitions for target msg

now in MM select Idoc - as source and target as the imported xsd. map one to one.

sure u will get xml file

Hi,

See no need to have Adapter modules or some thing ...

What you have to do is only, one.

Goto WE60 , open with Basic idoc, and generate the XML structure of that idoc, and import that idoc xml under exernal definition -- and save it as mt

Alrady explained above ..

take source Idoc , target IDoc XML .

to map only you have select the root node both side. click on map default icon which is in Message mapping. it will map all saource fields to target fields at a time

so no risk.

After that ...

In receiver side ,

Use record structure.fieldseperator : ,

thats all, sure you will gt.
