Add second user in approval stages.

Hello experts,

We are facing an issue while trying to update the 'Approval Stages'.We want to update an existing stage, with a second user.

When we are trying to update, we get the following message:

"Cannot update stage; existing authorization processes are based on current template".

We have tried the suggested solutions included in Sap Notes 1733466 and 1660690.

We also tried to cancel all documents prior to approval, add the ones that were approved but not yet added, and cancel the rejected ones.

Right now, all documents that are not approved yet, are canceled.

How can we update the particular stage approval, with the additional second user?

We use Sap Business One 8.82 PL : 05

We have also tried creating a new Approval stage, but when we try to add it in the Approval Template, we get the following message:

What I mean is not only add a new stage but also a new template.

Hi,

As per SAP note 1660690,

"When the draft is generated an alert is registered and sent to the Authorizers.  These alerts cannot be retroactively sent to newly added Authorizers"

This is the reason why system is not accepting update of approval stages.

Hi Vassilis,

It is more difficult to update current approval stage than to add a new approval from scratch unless you have never used that approval yet.
