System Build Export and Import Sybase ASE

Hello Everyone ,

Currently we are in plan to build new system base on our production system ..We would like to build the system on bases of export of production and import it in target system ..Do you have any SAP Standard document for this kindoff scenario ..I would really appreciate your help ..(System Copy base on Export and Import method for new system build ..)on Sybase ASE..Or anyone performed this activity ..Please share detail documents ..

Hello,

you should take a look to SAP Note 1680803 the attached PDF will help you. For huge databases you should optimize the import so you have different ASE configurations for the Data Import and the Index Creation (see Page 20 and following in the PDF).

Index creation and update index statistics can be done with consumers (one index is created with multiple worker processes) - There was a problem with it in the past, take a look to SAP Note 1933195.
