Hi All,

We'll make a migration for a 7 TB database from AIX-Oracle to Windows-Oracle. System version is ECC 6.00 with NW 7.00

Can you please give your recommendation for minimum process time? Parallel Export-Import, Migmon etc...

Thanks A lot for the answers

Hi,

Yes I've search about it but it's not a free tool and I've heard about 2-3 customers that used it.

You can use Cross Platform Transportable Tablespaces with Cross Platform Incremental Backup feature. You can read about this scenario in Oracle document 1389592.1.

What is your Oracle version? Try to check Cross-Platform Transportable Tablespaces option.

Hi Roman,

The version is 10G. Yes I've read about Transportable Tablespaces(Snote 1035051, 1003028, 1367451)  , but I didn't use it before. I need to learn about Cons and pros of it. Do you have any recommendation about it?

What did you mean on minimum process time: overall process time or downtime minimization?
