Dear

You have to install AS JAVA, ADS is automatically deployed. First make sure there is native support for ADS on your OS.

AS Java seperately and select the usage type "Adobe Document Service" during installation. The dependencies are explained there.

After you have installed this "ADS"-system, you have to maintain connections to and from your ECC system.

It is descripbed here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/de/46/487f6d86360db6e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm

Hello Rajendra.

It's possible to use the ADS of Enterprise Portal (AS Java) and connect the ECC through RFC?

We have ECC but only with AS ABAP and want to avoid the installation of AS JAVA.

Thank you

Yes AS Java is needed to configure ADS. This are the prerequisite for the ADS configuration

License
Configuration
SAP NetWeaver 6.40 and above
Java Stack installed
Adobe Document Services (ADS) installed on the Java Stack
If using ABAP, RFC communication must be established between ABAP and Java stacks
