I am new to SAP PI. However I have worked on many other standard middleware tools as well as custom tools. Currently I am engaging in integration between SAP and Digite Enterprise through standard webservice. The work for SAP has been ousourced to IT company in India. I requested for log of request/response of PI from the PI consultant. The consultant mentioned that the only way to monitor the SOAP calls from PI and the response received to PI is through HTTP/TCP Gateway. Note, this is the basic tool which is used for monitoring the gateway traffic in switches and routers. Its a raw data. I believe there would be some logging mechanism in PI where both request and response can be logged. Practically it is impossible to monitor the TCP Gateway when 1000s of requests are being made every hour.
Can someone point me to the tool or technology in PI which does such logging and I will explore it further.
