Vertex Monthly Update: Apply before of after the 1st?

Hi Gurus,

We run Vertex Sales Tax Q. Does the monthly updates that Vertex releases on the 22nd of each month need to go in before the current month ends?  if we do that, do the new rates take effect right away? Should it go in exactly at midnight on the first day of the month so the rates take effect exactly then?  Or do we need to put them in early in the morning on the 1st day of the month before users logon?

Hi Clifton

That depends on the Version you are in sicne the Vertex 5.0 if you do the monthly updates at the end of month they would take effect only when the effective date begins. I am pasting the screenshot of this summary from 5.0 STQ changes summary doc.
