Nageswari,

It should be the name along with your domain name. For exmaple, our domain is caritor.com and our XI server name is sap1. So we use it as sap1.caritor.com

Go to transaction SMICM --> Go to (menu at the top ) --> parameters --> Display.

Here sroll acorss the list of parametes displayed and you will find the Fully Qualified hostname against name ,. icm/host_name_full

Nageswari,

Am not a network administrator. But I used this way to find the domain name. May be some one else has a better option.

Right click my computer and select properties and select Computer Name tab. You will find the domain name here. Do this in your XI server.

>>it will helpfull i will give u reward points

Refrain from using such words in a public forum.

Bhavesh,

A quick clarification. I guess we get the domain name in SMICM only if we maintain full name in Exchange profile. Or is this value maintained else where?

Jai,

I think we maintain the fully qualified hostname here on the ABAP stack and then in exachnge profile manually key in the fully qualified hostname anbd not the other way around .

Cannot be very sure though.

Hi Jai,

A quick clarification. I guess we get the domain name in SMICM only if we maintain full name in Exchange profile. Or is this value maintained else where?

We have to maintain fully qualified host name for the xi server (parameter, icm/host_name_full) ie in RZ10 and also in exchange profile only.

Thanks ,

Hi Bhavesh,

I gone through note 757373.

there they mentioned like below.

Enter the long host name for the Runtime Workbench and the

central Monitoring Server in the exchange profile (the

com.sap.aii.connect.rwb.name, and

com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitorying.r3.ashost properties)

- that is, enter "abc.sap.com", instead of "abc", for example.

HI,

As explained by bhavesh , it is possible to get the host name full through SMICM -- goto -- parameters--dsplay.

-- Also you can see the name from XI home page open

http://host:port -- here host is the full name.

You can also get the full name from

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts -- open this file name by note pad and see the host name- which is opp to your XI -- ip address.

Is it the name you want?

Chilla
