How to give restrictions to users in dashboards

Hi,

how to give restrictions to users to access specific departments only in dashyboards in a chart

where we can apply security to users to access.please give suggestions.

live office connections ,backend is sqlserver2008, fetch the webi report into dashboard

what i need is give access to users to see only particular department wise or sales data

is it possible to give access in universe designer by using security option?

Hi Sunil

If you are using LO, then you can setup row level security for the universe and users will see data as per their access.

Dear

You can set sheet level permissions but to avoid the workbook level permission overriding the sheet level, you have to make sure that when you publish, you deselect "Show sheets as tabs"

You can also change this setting when the workbook has been published by selecting the workbook on Server and clicking Tabs > Hide Tabs
