Hi

Which is the database you are using. If SAPDB which version?Your problem is with DB.For Nw04s you use SAPDB/MaxDB 7.6 and for NW04 use SAPDB/MaxDB 7.5.Make sure that you used the correct one.

Reward points if usefull

Hi

I am using ./51031763_2/DVD_RDBMS_MAXDB_7.5.00_Build_32/UNIX/AIX_64/LABEL.ASC:MAXDB:750xx:RDBMS:MAX DB:AIX_64:AIX_64:CD510xxxxx.

Is this right one?

Hi

The version seems Ok that is 7.5 for NW04 but there is a ctach.Your OS is 64bit.Make sure you have installed the softwares of 64bit only.I mean your MaxDB ,your Installation master CD (ie sapinst) is of 64 bit.

Hi

Installation master version is =>

/local/sapbinaries/51032143_1/Installation_Master_6.20_6.40_09_06/IM_AIX_PPC64/SAPINST/UNIX/AIX_64/sapinst

Is this right?

Hi

What SID you had given ,i think its SUN.If i am right then this is one basic mistake you did.SID should be a combination of albhabet and at least one numeric character. That is 567,435 etc and DSE,SUN etc is not allowed.

Pls refer the installation guide foe NW04 from the link http://service.sap.com/instguides.

According to SAP following requirements should be necessary for SID

1. Is unique throughout your organization

2. Consists of exactly three alphanumeric characters

3. Contains only uppercase letters

4. Has a letter for the first character

5. Does not include any of the following, which are reserved IDs:

ADD ALL AND ANY ASC COM DBA END EPS FOR GID IBM INT

KEY LOG MON NIX NOT OFF OMS RAW ROW SAP SET SGA SHG

SID SQL SYS TMP UID USR VAR

<i><b>But NetWeaver installation takes SUN as SID.</b></i>. I have tested it during a test installation.
