SAP Timzone for UAE

Former Member

Hello,

I thought that UAE timezone is UTC+4.

However, in SAP, AE default timezone is set up as UTC+3 (SAP NetWeaver->General Settings->Time Zones-> Maintain Geographical Assignments)

Am I missing something? Should I make another entry as UTC+4?

Best Regards,

Kim

Hi Kim,

If you have UTC+3 for UAE, that needs to be changed to UTC+4, as was mentioned by Mike.

You can also check the time zone in the web, there are multiple webs with this info:

Daylight saving time dates for United Arab Emirates – Dubai – Dubai between 2010 and 2019

Just be sure your SCM and R/3 system are alligned.

Hi Kimiko,

Here's some additional information. See SAP Note 198411. It has an attachment with all of the current time zone data and instructions. You will still have to add a time zone for UAE as Mariano suggests.

Best Regards,

Mike

Hi Kim,

The CIA World Factbook gives the time zone of UAE as UTC+4. The World Clock Meeting Planner also gives the time in Abu Dhabi as UTC+4.
