BPC SP13 Error launching office client from web

Former Member

Hello Experts

We have a user who is receiving the following error when attempting to launch the EPM add-in from both the homepage of the web interfact and BPF screen.  He receives:

Error launching office client: could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80030002 (STG_E_FILENOTFOUND))

I have checked his install and he is running the standard versions of software:

- ie9 256 bit

- MS Office 2010 version: 14.30.7128.5000 (32 bit)

- EPM 10.0 SP13

Has anyone seen this error before ?

I have tried re-installing both the EPM add-in and MS Excel but to no avail.

Thanks

Ian

Hi Raju

What should I be checking ?

The user is able to access the internet and so BPC should function ?

Thanks

Ian

Hi,

Compare IE proxy settings with one who can access BPC with out any issue.

Thanks,

Hi Ian,

I would suggest try a new excel addon, also check Java SDK, make sure its the latest version installed.

Thanks for the response Andy

Unfortunately, I have tried uninstalling the EPM client and have just checked the latest version is Java is installed but we still experience the error.

Any other ideas ?

Ian
