MB52 report problem

Hi

we added some columns in MB52 report (customize columns) now the problem is

If we run that report in foreground the report is OK, but if we run in background it doesn't show any customized  columns.

as per our ABAPER every thing is right that is why report is coming ok in foreground but not able to understand that why not showing in background.

please help as this is production issue....

you should use some more words to describe your issue and what you do. you have already 14 replies and I do not really see any step forward.

You wrote " i am not technical so much" . To be honest, executing this report in background with a desired layout  is end-user stuff.

It is still not clear if the problem is related to the new add fields only or to your skills how to do the setup for a background job.

Just tell if you can add/remove other standard fields from the layout and if the report does  in background the same as in foreground for those changes, if they are recognized or not.

If it does, then your issue is limited to the new added fields only, and then you can give it right back to your ABAPer as then he wrong with his assumption that he had done everything correct.

none of these answers are related to the question. so just 2 more replies  (and automatically less people who are interested to read such long discussions, hence less solvers for your issue)

without any information to get forward, this is just repeating what was already known  in the very beginning.

It sounds a bit to me like building a house without windows. And you are complaining that is dark in it. And the architect is telling you that the sun is shining outside hence everything is ok.

The screen layout is assigned to t-code level.. May be the same layout is not assigned for background. You have to maintain the layout for background.. Maintain the screen layout as default from layout management..

Execute the report in foreground.. Then select in menu as Settings - Layout - Layout management.

Try the same with a standard field..

I have checked this with a standard field. It is working fine..

Make sure you can see the default layout in MB52 screen.

yes we already have a layout that is why we are getting all columns in foreground and we define same for the background also, but still the problem is there.

Can you see any other screen layout in layout management ? Is the layout /FGSTOCK set as default in layout management ?

Can you post a screen shot for the layout management settings.

Which parameters did you input in the print parameters pop-up, look at "Format", choose a wide enough format.

NB: If problem persists, ask your Abaper to look for hard-coded maximal length in the code of the report, or remove/reduce some columns...

hi dev,

it was the issue from ABAPER side only and he was not able to understand it after a long discussion with you all i ask him to dig as much as he can and he found that any how the set layout is over taken by someother layout at time of background so we delete that other layout

hence problem solved.
