Whom do the source codes belong to?

The developments made for my company by the SAP Partners i.e. the source codes. After the implementation and stabilization, whom do the SOURCE CODES belong? Are'nt the SAP Partnners who hv developed the codes for us obliged to pass it on to us?

Unless there is agreement in written in advance, the source codes will belong to developer, not the customer.

There is nothing mentioned in the contract. But they have done the modification for us and we have paid for that, then y is that the codes will belong to the developer?

In this case, you have to discuss with them to find out the term how can you get them.
