How to delete failed report instance in BO repository.

There are larger number of failed instance of report  are exist in production  infoview  server, i want to delete  all the  failed  instance  at a time, to do this  manually  very  hectic,can any  one  help me regarding it.how to delete this failed instance in CMC.

Hi Krupasindhu,

If there are huge number of failed instances, then you can purge them using script as well:

Kindly refer SAP KBA: 1568718 which contain script.

Yes you can delete them by going to CMC. Go to CMC and go to Instance Manage and put your search criteria for failed instance and find them. Once you find then then select them and hit delete. Go to your report and go to history and delete any failed instances. You can also set up the limit of the history that how many instance you want to keep. By default there is not limit. Hi Behera,

  1. Log on to CMC
  2. Go to specific Folder where your required report is saved
  3. Right Mouse Click on it and click "Limits"
  4. Check "Delete excess instances when there are more than N instances of an object:" Box
  5. Provide the number of instance you want to keep.
  6. Click Update Click Refresh Close Limits editor.
