Dear All,
If anybody add new line item in component tab of existing document, then release flag should re trigger or not? If not then why? If should happen then how? Please help me.
Regards
Sanjeet
Hello Sanjeet.
No, no re-release of the WO. Why? By releasing you approve the job, not the parts. On the printed pick list the old parts will have status printed (PRT).
Best regards,
Sorin

Hi , Once release it cannot go to previous status usually companies use user status to indicate the changed or added component information.

Hi Sanjeet,
To keep up the industry standards, we are planning the work order before release. But certain cases due to business requirements, users will be tend to update additional material components, which will be done after release only.
As per SAP design, you can change work order CRTD status to REL, but you cannot revoke the status back to CRTD.
Once released, it is released and you can plan additional labour or material, it only affect the KPI.

Terence

Dear Maria,
But certain cases due to business requirements, users will be tend to update additional material components, which will be done after release only.
In this case how to handle the budget, and release as well. We have scenario after release document, system will check custom budget table and material issue slip printout for issuing material, later on added component in PM Order, its not triggering in reservation slip.
Is there any other control provision.

Sanjeet
Hi Sanjeet
Due to the nature of Maintenance Work, a planned and scheduled order after release may need further planning and scheduling. Reversing release is, as Ajit Kumar wrote, is not possible.Reversing would have lots of impact on the already triggered functionality like reservations, requisitions etc. There are ways to identify the plan steps before release and after release. For example, by checking the change log etc.

If you are refering to the release of PM order, it wont get back to unrelease status when a component is added.
Release is also possible based on value using the functionality of permits ( Structure CSEVPERMIT )
if you check, you can find a blog in scn on that.
Pl check whether you can get a workaround using that
