Transfer of DP planning area and planning book using /sapapo/tsobj is very slow

I would like to transfer DP planning area, planning book and macros from our Dev system to QA system. I am trying to use /SAPAPO/TSOBJ in background job. It took many hours(eg 20 hours) and then I had to cancel the job. I am wondering how long normally it takes to create transport to bundle planning area, planning book and macros in one transport package. Has any one faced any issue with performance. We are in SCM 7.0.

Why are you using background job for this? This txn only collects the objects to transport to other systems. Run the txn in foreground, create a transport and ask your BASIS team to import to your Quality system.

Hi Shweta,

As Subash has rightly said, the objects will be collected in a Transport Request only if you run in foreground.

HI Shweta,

it normally key takes less than a minute to collect them in /sapapo/tsobj. I HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR 12 years.

I am shocked. It is time to call SAP.
