Packets_In and Packets_Out value over threshold value

Hi Gurus!!!

I have SAP R/3 46C with AS/400 V5R3M0

The nodes Packets_In and Packets_Out are red because this have set the thresholds like below:

Packets_In:

Change from YELLOW to RED 5 000 /S

Packets_Out:

Change from YELLOW to RED 2 000 /S

Once the current value of Packets_In is 9524 /S and the current value

of Packets_Out is 9529 /S, both are above than the thresholds. This is

why, the value is RED alert.

How can I solved this problem?

Best Regards

Hi Luis,

Any Network related issue has to be addressed by continuous monitoring , say for 1 week.

Analyse the situation and find out if it is happening only during a particular time of the day(like peak business time). If this is happening during a certain period in a day then discuss with your network team about this on how to increase the bandwidth during the peak load time.

If the symptoms occur through out the day, ask the network team to analyze the situation immediately. The reason might be your current network is not sufficient for the current load.

Monitor the situation for atleast 1 week. Understand the root cause and then attack the problem.

regards,.

Vinodh.

Hi Luis,

Kindly check your LAN and network connectivity once.

These are basically due to packet drops.

I hope there should be some problem in switch if its unmanaged one .
