Hi,
I am getting the below Certificate Error connecting to SMP 3.0 Agentry. I have followed the guidelines provided in SCN to create a self-signed certificate and install it in the Server and Client to resolve the problem, but it didnt work. Can someone provide in detail the exact steps that needs to be done to resolve the error,
" Certificate received is not found in the trusted list, nor can it be traced to a trusted root."
Any help is appreciated !
Most likely you didn't install the server certificate to your local machine (like Bill mentioned above).
Log into your SMP server.
Open File Explorer and go to <SMP30_HOME>\Server\configuration.
Copy the file smp_crt.cer to your local PC, and double click it.
Install the certificate to the store "Trusted Root Certificate Authorities ".
And remember to use FQDN for the URL in ATE.
Then I think it will work for you.

When you enter the server URL you need to make sure it exactly matches the certificate you installed on the machine running the ATE. I would double click on the certificate again and confirm the hostname and then try again.
The other possibility is that you didn't install the certificate to the Trusted Root Certificate Authorities store.
