Hello All-

I would like to understand about these products.

BOBJ for Analytics & Reporting

BOBJ for Data Services

How should be deploy these? Can we deploy BOBJ Analytics & Reporting which need BI 4.1 and DataServices 4.2 Information Seward 4.2 which need IPS together as one system?

What should we consider to build these system?

IPS is scaled down version of CMS. If you want to install DS/is on standalone machine, you need IPS. But if you want BO also, you need to install full version BO platform which includes all the services for BO and DS.

There pros and cons on having separetd and using same CMS.

Timelines of BO and DS patches are not same time, If you need to patch BO for any reason, you need to shut down the DS, if both share same CMS.

If DS/IPS and BO separate CMS, then you need to maintian 2 different systems for users and security.

Installing in one system and sharing CMS is different things. I would recommend install BO in one server and DS/Information Steward on separate server, but share the CMS, if you are planning to go with that approach.

Thanks Jawahar- appreciate your response and going to proceed with two different systems approach.

We will not share the CMS as well.
