Grouping data and having summary totals in Crystal Reports

Former Member

I am using Crystal Reports 2011.

Attached is an example report I need to create in Crystal Reports.

The detailed data needs to be grouped a certain way with Group name and group field data together surround by a rectangle.  Note the data in the attached report in a drawn rectangle like Supplier Code.  I need help on how to format the Crystal Report exactly how the attached report shows.

Please help!

Thanks!

Sincerely,

Keith Jackson

Hi Keith,

Every group should display teal color for look purpose.

Each group maintain some space and display all details concurrently.

Master ID ETC ALSO GROUPS RIGHT?  For Ex:

G1               S1     S2    S2

G2              S1     S2    S3

  G3             S2     S2    S3   etc

G - Group     S- Summary

Check below view

Thanks but that not exactly what I am looking for.

Supplier Code group needs to be on 1 line.

The rest of the Groups (Master ID, etc.) need to be all on the same line on the next line after the Supplier Code group.

Groups is what I having the most trouble with.

Also the data is showing for Supplier Code and Master ID but not the rest of the groups.  I need help with that too.

Hi Keith,

it sounds like you have most of the report laid out, just some tweaking to make it look the way you want.

The column titles are easy.  I'm going to guess your groups are arranged like:

Group1 Supplier Code

Group2 Master ID

Group3 Tracking No

Group4 Coil No

Group5 Coil Weight

Group6 CL Date

Hide all the Group Header sections below Group2.  So you should see only the Supplier Code, which you want and the Master ID.  Now move the Group information from the other groups into the Master ID group header.

This should get you close to what you want.  It may need some more tweaking depending on how your data is sorted but give it a try.

Good luck,

Brian

Hi Keith,

I think you created  Supplier Code    Group1

                                   Master ID             Group2

                                  Tracking No.         Group3  etc

In Group2 Line you have display remaining groups right  and definitely showing data all groups.

your problem is not clear but all groups having data ...

Thanks,

DJ

Thanks Brian!  I will try that.

I have tried something like that before but did not work very well.  I will try how you suggested.

Keith Jackson

To All,

The attached file to my original post is a report not created in Crystal Reports.  It was a report created by something else.  I need to re-create the report into Crystal Reports.
