Hello! I install solman 7.1 SR1 on ASE.  On step 59, start Java engine I get error after 20:10 min.  

[ABAP: ACTIVE, Java: UNKNOWN] did not reach state STARTING after 20:10 minutes. Giving up.)

Delete SAPLOCALHOST parameter from the profile and try restarting the Java stack

check for std_server0.out and std_dispatcher.out

Can you stopsap and start again  and then retry ?
