SAP portal access in SSO for user external to organization

Dear All,

I need a clarification. Is it possible with NW SSO 2.0 to let a user not in Active Directory of the company to use SSO to access the SAP portal?

What I need is that the user of the company abc.com  need to access to the portal of xyz.com in SSO without entering user and password at the access.

Is it technical possible?

If possible can someone suggest how to perform it?

Yes, by using the Secure Login Server to issue a X.509 certificate for the user which then the portal accepts. See the Implementation Guide for all the supported authentication methods both on SLC and SLS. Follow-ups should be created in the space.
