Releasing a new DIR version when previous version is Active

Hello Gurus,

Need your advice on the below scenario.

SAP can release version 01 of a document when version 00 is still active. Is there a way by configuration, that I can check for the release status of the previous version? I guess we can do this through development.

System should not allow me to release a DIR of version 01 when version 00 is active.

What would be options are ?

Hi Jo,

You can configure such that new versions are created only for released documents only.

So version 01 will be created only when document with version 00 has status released.

Hi Jo,

You need to create SAP DMS network status as per SAP help

Definition of a Status Network - Document Management - SAP Library

Then activate Content version for status released using the guidelines in SAP help
