DATA MODEL 0G Cutom

Hi ,

As a standard data model 0G does not contain activity type.

So since we need to add activity type to our Standard DM 0G,

Do we have to extend it by adding new entity types or do we have to create attributes in the given standard entity types??

Thanks

Vijay

Hi kiran,

Thanks for the reply and it is really helpful.

I did create a new entity type and did add the attributes tot he newly created entity type.

But since it is asking a Business object (standard i did not find) do we have to add a custom BO or can we use a cost center BO?

Thanks

Vijay

Yes. Create a custom BO. Don't use cost center BO as its different.

Thanks Sanjay and Micheal.

Since we are using MDG version 6. So we may have to create a entity type.

Thanks

Hi Vijay,

yes, if you want to stay on MDG 6, a custom entity type added to the data model can do the job. Alternatively you could consider upgrading to MDG 7.0 SP02 (the release is available for everyone) and using the RDS.

HI Michael,

Yes , if i create a new entity type, we also need to create a BO(Business object) but if we add this as

attributes for the already given entity type, No need to create a BO.

But the later one doesnot seem like a viable option..

Need your inputs?..

Thanks

Hello Vijay

In which entity type you will add activity type? You can't. This is separate master and  you have extend 0G data model by adding entity type. Create relationship too. Then add the attributes. You have to do the mapping for newly added entity type as per the document shared by Sanjay.

Hello Vijay

One more point - activity type master data is time dependent. You have use editions for managing the data. The edition has to be same as Cost center.

Hi Vijay,

there is a SAP "Rapid Deployment Solution" available for MDG 7.0 SP02 that adds the activity type to data model 0G. You might consider contacting your SAP account manager for more details.

Hi Vijay

You can add activity type as entity type and required fields if any for activity type as attributes
