configure address data in SU01

Hello experts,

I have a simple question. Is it possible to hide fields in SU01 address data, or make some of them mandatory.

Or for example I wanto to make the "Extension" field TEL_EXTENS, NOT to pop-up a yellow message (warning)

when it is empty.

Hi Ilian,

This is not at all an easy task.

There is a lot to consider when you do such things.

Perhaps, you should not try such thing on standard SU01 and consult with ABAP team.

you cannot make any changes in su01 bcaz it is an std tcode from SAP

you can do this by copy su01 pgm to zsu01 or you can follow this

you Can do  this only be done by using Transaction Variants (SHD0)?

Or is there an 'easier' way for example simple ABAP adjustment or something in customizing?

Reason: No experience with Transaction Variants, I don't know the impact and what might go wrong.

(If you however have a good, clear & safe scenario for Transaction Variant, this is more than welcome!)

Hi Ilian

From SU01 it is not possible,

1. You can try to copy the SU01 program name "SAPLSUID_MAINTENANCE" make the custom transaction code ZSU01.

2. Better you can ask SAP Support to raise the support ticket

as far as I know, it is not possible just by a "basic user" - you will need to program it through ABAP.
