coexistence of sapsprint and BackupExec

Hi Experts,

Could you tell me whether sapsprint and symantec backup exec can co-exist?
Yesterday, I tried to install sapsprint to our printer server.

In the installation, the message below are displayed.

=============================================================================================
[SAP Installrt Notification:File In Use]

It is highly recommended that you end 'Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows(Process Id:1656)' to avoid a reboot

I must select one of the below choices
・Retry (recommneded; continue after closing the application)
・Terminate Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows (you may lose unsaved data)?
・Ignore Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows(reboot to complete this process)
・Ignore and do not ask me again (reboot to complete this process)
=============================================================================================

This message is  just for avoid to reboot the server in the sapsprint installation, and it is not meaning that sapsprint and backup exec cannot coexist, I think.

If you know whether my view is correct or not, please tell me about that.

Best Regards,

Naomi.

Hi Naomi

Could you tell me whether sapsprint and symantec backup exec can co-exist?

Yes, you can have both in the same system. In our environment we have both in Windows 2003 Server

2. On the same host have you installed the Symantec Enterpoint protection? it is yes, just stop the service and then start the SAPSPrint installation.
