Hello Everyone,
As I finished installed the Sol Manager 4.0, and have received the permanent key from SAP.
I signed on to SAPGUI, Tcode slicense, and stupxxxly deleted the 'inital' license key and signed out before entered the permanent key
Now, I could not sign on.
In ERP 4.7 (kernel 640) we could manually enter this key at as/400 commands line using saplicense '-install'.
I don't know if I could use this same method to entered the key for kernel 7.0
I tried to run the command, it prompt me same inputs as in ERP 4.7, but at the last entry when it ask for lkey, I don't know if I could cut/past the long key I receive from SAP, since we were told on 7.0 the key is generated digitally.
Could you help so I could enter the key and be able to sign on to the system.
I have an open message with SAP for 2 days, still waiting for respond.
Or, is my only solution is to re-intall entire system in order to get the 'inital' key.
Hope you could share your experience. Thank you for your time and help.
Elizabeth.

Hello Elizabeth,
you can download the license-script-file, which you also received vie e-mail.
Save this file to /tmp/lic.txt
And install on os level with
saplicense '-install ifile=/tmp/lic.txt'
Regards
Guido

Hi Elizabeth,
Did you try to paste the long key in the license file?
If it doesn't work, do you have a backup of the database? If yes, you can restore file MLICHECK back.
If not, use RMVJRNCHG to do a backward restore? You can call IBM support to guide you through it.
Reinstall Solution Manager will work no matter what...
Best regards,
Victor
