Develop and deploy services (ApplicationServiceFrame)

Hello.

What the way to develop J2EE-services which implement ApplicationServiceFrame interface, using NWDS? Should I create "J2EE > Utility project" or something else? Or J2EE-service is just a library with some dependencies which should be included into EAR?

My previous attempt was to use Connector project but it does RAR files.

Future service is close to "XPI Adapter: Mail" by its possibilities.

Service development is restricted to internal components of AS Java, it's not exposed to partners and customers - they can develop regular applications.

I had seen ancient note 822542 for 6.30/6.40 custom service development, but no any note for current 7.4 Netweaver. Very pity

Yes, it should have probably been marked "and subsequent releases".
