In Web Dynpro: can I download/open a file (say a Word file) from the server, edit it online, and then save the changed document back on to the server?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I know about OfficeControl. A major problem with
OfficeControl is that it allows only four file extensions( .doc, .xls, .ods and .odt).
I am working with .docx (Microsoft OpenXml format) which can be opened by
a standalone MS Word application, but not through OfficeControl API from SAP.
I find it wierd that the OfficeControl API is bound to the extension of the file.

Whatever you are asking for can be done using Online Interactive forms.
This is the only way for online editing.
