Data from Oracle ebiz, hyperion source systems to HANA on Real-time using SLT?

Hi Expert,

I have several non-sap source systems like Oracle ebiz, hyperion and BaaN systems , these needs have real-time data replication into SAP HANA.

What is the best data replication tool? Does SLT support these type of source systems ? If so, i have few more queries in this regard.

1. What amount of database load will be applied by DB triggers created in Source system for real-time replication ?

2. Is there any upgrade or patch required in source systems oracle database version?

3. Does any additional license required in the database layer of non-sap source system?

Please help me in above queries. Thanks in advance.

Hi Santosh,

SLT can directly communicate with the DB layer. So in general the DB details are required to answer this question.

Following DB's can be used as a source DB:

SAP HANA	OK

For non-ABAP source systems, the customer database license needs to cover a permanent database connection with 3rd party products like SAP LT Replication Server.

Since a DB connection from LT replication server to a non-ABAP system
is required, the OS/DB restrictions of
SAP NetWeaver 7.02 or higher apply (see at http://service.sap.com/pam)
