Hi,
I am trying to do the settings for the idoc sender system the steps i have completed are..
1) sm59..maintain a rfc destination from idoc sender to the integration server.
2) we21..created a tRfc port with the rfc dest from step1.
step 3 is where i am stuck...
3) we20....to maintain the partner profile and partner number...there isint enough info in the xi config guide..
any pointers..would be appreciated.

Hi,
i forgot to mention that this is just one system, that has Xi and r/3...on it..netweaver 6.4...that might be the reason i think...though i am throughly confused now as to ..what is happening.
essentially..what i create in the xi system..should point to the r/3 and what i create in r/3 should point to the xi system..question now is..what if both are the same...atleast the hostname and ip.are....

Hi,
Create a distrubution model using T Code BD64
Generate the distribution model using T Code BD82
In WE20 check if the message type is added & assign the port.
it will work fine.
reward points if it solved your problem

ok, i tried several things...bd64...fails with an error that a local logical system is not defined.
Option 2) use transac "sale" and follow the doc
/people/swaroopa.vishwanath/blog/2007/01/22/ale-configuration-for-pushing-idocs-from-sap-to-xi
i am getting stuck at the part from either bd64 or Create a Distribution Model through SALE transaction: ...either way it wont let me procede until a local logical system has been created, which has been..however its not seen..is there smthign i am missing..here..

Ravi
Henk,
Yes i have..i have a couple of screenshots which might help pinpoint what i am not doing right...how do i put a word doc or a couple of screenshots in here.
1) I created 2 logical systems..one for the c12 system and one for the xi.
2) assigned them both to a client..somethign is not ok..there..thats what i think.
