What is SAPGEN adn what is its purpose?

SAPGEN is a tool (Excel template) used for uploading journals into SAP which inturn can create an IDOC or Batch input sessions.

Maybe you are referring to transaction SGEN "SAP Load Generator"? This transaction is used for regenerating SAP objects. Normally after an upgrade or installation accessing transactions in abap is very slow. In the status bar you would see "Compiling <object> in separate task" the 1st time a transaction is ran. If you run a full regeneration in transaction SGEN, all objects will be compiled in a background job. Later ,when users access tranactions, the compiled object will already be available.

Are you refering to SAPGENPSE? This generates key pairs for SSL.

Hi Bhaskar,
Will you plz tell that where exactly from you have heard this term. I think this term is not at all related to SAP technologies/products. There is one term similar that is SAPGenie ( a website for sap realted docs and help).
Whatsoever info I could found about is that this is a term basically used in Navy requirements and known as SAPGEN (Simplified Composite Analysis Procedure). You can search for this term on Google for more information.
