Hi,

Can you check for any busy port - 21212 ?

Disable your firewall setting and try again.

Also, share relevant logs

Try with telnet sap2apsrv1 21212.

Check if that is working or not ?

Disable firewall and also update your host file.

Hi,

1st share the logs.

That would tell us the actual issue.

Also, if you want to try with some other port - then use ./sapinst GUISERVER_DIALOG_PORT=22201 SAPINST_DIALOG_PORT=22213.

Can you update your host file with your hostname and try again. Try with some other port that i have asked you before if it is not working.

Few check:

1st - Start sapinst, goto command prompt give command netstat -a and check for 21212 port

2nd - Disable UAC.

3rd - Start installation with Administrator(right click run as administrator)

4th - Make sure tmp has read/write access.

SWPM Sp04 is not available in SMP now. I downloaded sp05 as well as sp06 files.

Files working fine with other environment but not working in SOLMAN.

I dont know why?

Hi

1. During the Solution manager installation which version of SWPM used?

2. Have you update the latest service pack & Security updates from Microsoft site?

Regards

Hi Farkath,

This is not a solution. There is no need to download old versions of SWPM.

1st check the above setting and disable firewall/antivirus.

Supply the outputs.

Hi Farkath,

No need to patch windows OR download any other SWPM version.

Just update your host file and remove JAVA_HOME that you have set and anyother JAVA env variable pointing to old java version. This is not needed at all.

That simply would work.

Let me know for any concerns.

Hi all, Recently I have faced same issue during DAA installation in AS Java system in windows OS.

Solution :

1. Change JAVA_HOME environment variable to D:\usr\sap\<SID>\J00\exe\sapjvm_6

2. Check SAPINST_JRE_HOME environment variable is present or not, if already present then delete this.

3. Check environment variable PATH and if there is any JRE path added then delete only this path and add JAVA_HOME variables value.(D:\usr\sap\<SID>\J00\exe\sapjvm_6).

>>>sample value of PATH= C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\bin;C:\Windows\system32;C:\Windows\System32\Wbem;C:\Windows\System32\Windows System Resource Manager\bin;C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0;C:\Program Files\Microsoft Network Monitor 3;C:\CoreUtil\MTResKit;C:\Program Files\SysInternals Suite;C:\Program Files\7-zip;C:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn\;C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn\;C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn\;%JAVA_HOME%\bin;C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn\VSShell\Common7\IDE\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn\;D:\Program Files\BMC Software\Control-M Agent\Default\exe;C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Imaging\;D:\usr\sap\DP1\J00\exe\sapjvm_6

***Bold portion need to add.***

After changing variables also clear tmp folder(open run-->type %TMP% -->select all and delete)

Best of Luck. This will surely work.

Hello friends,

SWPM is using its own JVM so that old jdk is not required. I dont know why SWPM is calling Java_home instead of its own JVM  in this system. I just removed Java_home env variable and tried then it working fine. But SWPM is working fine with out removing JAVA_Home env variable in other environment.

Thanks Divyan.
