Lumira Connectivity to BW System without HANA

Hello All

We were currently exploring Lumira with the objective to leverage its functionalities to provide graphical view of our data in BW system.

Upon scanning through various available documentation on web we found that Lumira can access BW in following two manners:

1) BW on HANA

2) BW-BO universe

However, we could not find any information on whether Lumira can access directly BW Queries/Cube/Multiprovider when the BI platform doesn't have HANA or BO universe.

Thus can anyone please advice on the above question.

Hi Ashish,

Since the release 1.17 of SAP Lumira, you can directly access BW systems. For the moment, it is only possible to build visualizations in the SAP Lumira document and not possible to share them.

To follow up, you can access BEx queries or BW InfoProviders directly using 1.17 or higher but Antoine is right, it is only in the Visualize room.

Thanks a lot for the kind information it was certainly helpful.

I hope the planned improvements of Lumira to improve compatibility with BI platform is released soon as it would surely help customers without BO & HANA.
