Hello all,
I need some advice about upgrade with SUM Tool,
I had for 7 week ago start SUM tool to upgrade SAP ABAP installation
and I was finished with Check Phase on that time. The system is on frozen zone.
My question is can I continue with this upgrade after so long and go to
preprocessing phase. Or I should reset the upgrade and start with a new SUM
from scratch.
Thanks
Reza
Hello Reza
What exactly do you mean by "The system is on frozen zone" ?
There is no need to reset the upgrade at all. The pre-processing phase starts with the "Lock Development Environment". If you have not made any changes to the upgrade directory and also the patches are in place then you should be able to continue with the upgrade without a reset.

Hello Reagan,
By frozen zone i mine there was no changes in this installation. since I start SUM Tool.
So I can just continue with this one.
Is it correct it should be created a shadow instance in SAPMMC?
This is from sapmmc,
As you can see I have this system on cluster, I have this one dkrdssap342 2 too, and this a new one.
I have: cluster dkrdssap342 1 and dkrdssap343 1.
Hi Reza,
If it was before pre-processing and if the system was freezed(down) it's doesn't really matter and you can continue, provided everything you provided in inputs are still same.
However, better to start from the beginning to avoid any unknown problem.
