Defect recording through BAPI

Hi Experts,

Can any one suggest me to record defect through BAPI?

We need to record the defect against inspection lot in mass processing.

Please help in this matter.

Hi Abhishek, Check whether QIRF_GET_DEFECT_ITEMS2 this FM is useful for this, else you can think of developing BDC for QF01 transaction code.

But if you are carrying out result recording then perhaps there is an alternative so that you need not develop a tool for mass recording.

While creating MIC, in control indicators if you tick on defect recording check-box then you can pre-define the defect codes for that MIC. During result recording if the result falls out of tolerance limit, then system automatically picks that pre-defined defect and saves it in the notification.

Hi Anand,

I want to record the defect while recording result , no need to predefine against MIC

Even we are going to use BAPI for result recording and UD , Suggested BAPI already tested but not able to do through the same.

BDC of QF01 will not be useful and fulfill the requirment.
