SAP Secure Network Communication (SNC) with AS400 server

Hello,

I doubt if I can configure SNC connections in the following environment:
  - client in sap gui (windows and mac)
  - server is AS400 SAP_BASIS 731 and 606 SAP_APPL

If possible which where I can find documentation on the configuration of the server?

Hello Hidalgo,

You can use SAP Netweaver Single Sign-On 2.0 product in order to configure SNC in OS/400 servers. You can find the availability of this product in SAP PAM (https://service.sap.com/pam) and also in the product guide (https://help.sap.com/nwsso).

The same product also allows the Client setup in Windows and MAC OS.

Hello Hidalgo,

Yes, you can. However, it makes no difference in this case (the setup is still the same)... Notice that SAP Netweaver Single Sign-On product is not free of charge.

SAP has a product (free of charge) that allow SNC (without SSO) for such cases... It is the SNC Client Encryption. However, this product is not supported into AS/400 systems... You can also check that in PAM...
