SAP Fiori Client Error(Certificate Error)

Hi All,

I have configured Fiori Launch pad and it is working on Desktop browser, Ipad Browser and Mobile Browser.

It is not working on SAP Fiori Client App.

I tried few options:

  1. Install SSL certificate in Mobile and Desktop.
    1. Then it is not showing any certificate error browsers and it is working fine in browsers only.
    2. Not working in app.
  2. Change Port number  from HTTPS port to HTTP Port.
    1. This option is not working in browser and app.

my question is there any work around solution for Practice and demo, to run fiori application on client.

@Masayuki Sekihara  any inputs from you?

Thank you.

Cheers,

Gopi.

Resolved by my self.

It is not suggested for the production systems, I have done changes in my sandbox.

Steps:

  1. These changes are applicable only for wave 2 apps.
  2. Enter Transaction SICF.
  3. Navigate to path /default_host/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ and service name ushell.
  4. Click on change icon.
  5. Select Logon tab as shown in below and then change security requirement radio button to Standard.
  6. Select tab Error Page then click on Configuration as shown below.
  7. Change protocol to Do Not Switch. than click on save and relaunch your App.

Hi,

Above steps helps to login with Fiori Client but we are getting warning like 'No switch to https. so it is not secure to send a password'.

In case of production environment  how do we use 'https' URL.

Please advice.

Thanks,

Babu

Howdy,

So it seems you're forcing Fiori to run off HTTP instead of HTTPS to get around the self-signed certificates used. Our test environment is setup to use SAML, has the NW GW as the service provider, and a F5 as the trusted IDP to do LDAP authentication. If we follow these steps, it won't work since SAML has to be under HTTPS. Any ideas or do we actually have to pay for a certificate for our test environment?

Thanks,

Alvin

Hi All,

I had another trick to fix this error.

If you have https enabled on the backend and you still receive this error then do the following.

1. Export your backend certificate

2. Email your backend certificate to your mail on iOS/Android Device

3. Install the backend certificate in your device

4. Try accessing again using Fiori App.

Prashit
