Hi Friends,

I am done with Managed System Configuration..

Now I need to generate EWA reports for the same.

But I am getting some inputs that, EWA is automatically configured in Managed System Configuration itself.

Can you guys suggest me accordingly..

Thanks & Regards,

You are right with SP10 it was possible to use the report with transaction SE38. But since we have installed the latest stack SP12 a popup window with this message appears.

With 7.1 SP 12 it is not possible to use report RDSMOP_MAIN.

You will get the following message:

This function is obsolete and not supported anymore.

Use the equivalent functions in the SAP Solution Manager work centers
(transaction SM_WORKCENTER) instead.

See SAP Note 1541013.

Have you tried starting the report in SE38? In SPS10, it's still possible.

Hi,

Since you are on 7.1 SP12, no need to do any thing inSMSY - it is read only.

All you need is from LMDB and Solman_workcenter.

In MSC of your system, in step enter system parametes, mark activate EWA.

I still use SMSY and RDSMOP_MAIN, since some functions can be accessed faster.

Thanks Daniel.. I know that will not work on SP12.

All the things I posted above should work on SP12, if not you find the functionality of adding EWAs to non-productive systems in workcenter.

Hi Daniel,

I am not saying or have said that you have posted anything wrong.

Please comprehend my reply and it's reference correctly .

It was in reference to below, and I still say SMSY is read only on SP12 and for other Jens has already replied.

I still use SMSY and RDSMOP_MAIN

Please don't take it otherwise.

Hi,

You need to open the note that i have posted above, look for a note liked in it which is for SP10+.

Just follow that and what i have asked before.

When you have all system data in LMDB/SMSY and have created solutions and put the product systems in their logical components, all productive systems create EWAs. You just need RFC connections, which you can create in LMDB.

When you want to create EWAs for your dev and qa systems, you need to modify your solution (right click on the system).

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your response.

Yes I have created logical components for respective Product systems.

As you said right click on the system.. Can you elaborate a bit more.. Where is that I am supposed to right click.. and how do I check whether EWA is generated for the system or not.. I mean where do I check?

Excuse me if I am being bit more particular.. As this is first time for me.. I am naive to this.. Hope you guys understand..

Thanks in Advance..

Just start the workcenter and navigate here:

Adding other systems can be done via SMSY ->

You also have to check your SDCCN settings: There must be a Maintenance Package scheduled daily which uses your SolMan system.

I suggest that you flag your RFC to SolMan as master:

(Display/Change)

(Set Master Solution Manager system)
