Monitoring the Archive log in a HA environment

Hi All,

Will we be able to monitor the following in Solution manager

1. Monitor the synchronization between primary and secondary DB.

2. Monitor the restore point that are created and unattended.

for a HA environment we have got the Agent on the fly, so it will be active for the active host.

So my doubt is will we able to monitor the details that are there in secondary DB.

Kindly clarfiy, and let me know if we have any metric specific for this.

Hi Krishnan,

I believe using host agents on both hosts and using file system monitoring you can check archive logs directory of both host.

Now for above two queries:

1. Monitor the synchronization between primary and secondary DB.
2. Monitor the restore point that are created and unattended.

Prepare a script, if there is no delivered metric.

Use ROSSC to setup alerting using MAI.

Thanks for your reply.

Is preparing our own scripts and integration with MAI is the only option we have or any metric delivered as standard.

Kindly let me know if there are any standard metric available for this.
