unable to login to browser after running solman_setup

Former Member

I'm getting this screen after running solman_setup in the Solution Manager server via SAPGUI. This screen is from firefox and it has the words "via popup" but no popup appears although I've checked if the browser has blocked any pop up.

IE / Chrome are having similar issue but without the words "via popup" in user and password boxes but unable to click on the boxes.

No error or any message when I click on Log On also.

Hi Toh,

Please maintain the below parameters and under SMICM increase the HTTP Max processing time to 6000 and save the settings

login/accept_sso2_ticket

login/create_sso2_ticket

also need to set your browser mode to IE 8 and share the result again if issue persists.

Regards,

Gaurav

Hi Gaurav,

I don't understand your advise on this

Please maintain the below parameters and under SMICM increase the HTTP Max processing time to 6000 and save the settings

Do you mean run the tcode SMICM? when I run this tcode I don't see any place I can edit.

As for your advise on IE8 mode, it is having "The Website cannot display the page" error.

Hi Toh,

You need to execute transaction SMICM then go to --> services .Here you'll get HTTP as an active service, and on selection of the HTTP need to change it as like below snapshot

Hi Gaurav,

Please share your IE details

I don't understand by sharing IE details, which detail you are asking?

Also are you facing same issue if you runs the same link on Mozilla firefox.

Firefox is working fine after I restart the server, I'm able to login. Since Daniel mention that IE is better so I continued checking why IE is not working.

Hi Corinna,

Thanks for the reply.

If you look at the below screen, that you can check setting here.

Security, privacy and add-on's in program tab, this should also be checked.

Try IE, not all pages run on firefox.

IE has this additional message:

"You are calling this web site with a browser that is not supported"

As mention, I've tried using IE, firefox and Chrome.

For IE, I'm able to click on the user textbox but unable to type anything.

Can you post your profile parameters

login/accept_sso2_ticket

login/create_sso2_ticket

And have you done a complete restart of your SolMan?

Please read carefully message above (in dialog screen):

"Choose "Log On" to continue. A dialog box appears in which you can enter your user and password".

May be I'm not being clear, there is no pop up when I click on "Log On", nothing happens.

The setting is as:

  • login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1
  • login/create_sso2_ticket = 2

And I follow your instruction to restart the server and now firefox is able to login now but IE is now showing me the error of " The Website cannot display the page" error.

Check that all required content (javascript and css) has been loaded successfully and can be executed (not blocked) by browser.
