Hi,
We are in the Personas 3.0 ramp-up and trying to install the software in our sandbox. In the page describing the product (SWDC->Ramp-up releases->Installation and Upgrade->SAP SCREEN PERSONAS 3.0), the required kernel version is stated as 742 available as of August 15.
However, we don't see that kernel version available as of today. Is there a patch level on 741 that will let us install Personas 3.0? I've looked at note 1825215 that indicates this might be possible but it isn't clearly stated. I opened an SAP SR on this question but have not yet received a response. If there is anyone who has installed the ramp-up and knows what kernel version works, your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Rob
Hi Rob,
You need kernel 7.42. This is required to gain access to the SAP Screen Personas functionality. You should have received special instructions on how to download the kernel (it is not publically available yet) when you were accepted into the ramp-up program.

Peter

Hi Sushant,
I am trying to access the note now and it still isn't released. We are in the ramp-up program as well and haven't recieved any information about where to download kernel 7.42.
Everything else is set up, but we can only access the "old" funcionality in the HTML version of screen personas (theme, hide button, renaming etc.) no scripting and so on.
Hi Robert,
Please check the version required for SAP Personas 3.0 SP1

Any idea if we can apply this note/fix already?

Hi Tobias,
The issue about the dimension conflict seems to be gone now. Thx!
But still, Personas isn't rendering all items. For example: background images.
In Edit mode, it seems all OK, but when we test this screen, we miss our background images, controles are in other places, ...
Any suggestions?
Thx!
Regards,
Hans

I implemented all the current notes, but still facing an issue about:
"Invalid GUI input data: display - window dimension conflict"
Already implemented note 2016640, but not sure where to set the parameters that are created.
Do I need to set these in the Webgui GUI Configuration? or?
Thx!

Hans

We have this issue also, it randomly appears for some users on Personas 2 and is also present in Personas 3.
I even noticed it on some of the SAP guys screens during demos!
It needs to be fixed, while it doesn't actually stop Personas from working it covers system messages and confuses the user.
Hans, Neil,
We have a Personas QA system with 740SP3 which also had this issue. The issue has been fixed in a later SP (forgot which) but applying the available ITS notes fixed the problem.
Here is a list of notes, we applied:
0001926394 SAP GUI for HTML: Rendering mode update
0001964944 Active ITS frameset not always wanted for IAC and others
0001965413 SAP GUI for HTML: Window without visible content
0001967776 ITS: ~theme is ignored in URL
0001970427 SAP GUI for HTML: Rendering problems in Enterprise Portal (E
0001972793 SAP GUI for HTML: Start service in SAP GUI for HTML: Screen
So, I would recommend that you apply the notes that are available for your basis version and try again. If the problem persist, then I would recommend to open a ticket for the component BC-FES-ITS.
Cheers,
Tobias.
the issue is still there for us...
0001926394 SAP GUI for HTML: Rendering mode update – Already on a higher SPS

Hi,
I see that I still got a red dot in my Health Check.
Green em/global_area_MB Current Value 1024
Red Global Memory (em/global_area_MB) Left Current Value 327.68
How can we fix this?
Can this be the issue for not displaying the 'P' button?
Thx!

Hans

Hi Hans,
We had the same problem. IT got solved by following this checklist
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/Img/Pre+and+post+installation+Checklist
Our problem was that we were on SP3 of the basis component and hadn't implemented note 2007072
I reimplemented the notes following the above note just to make sure. Now we have Screen Personas 3.0 working.
Did already that test, without any success

Hans

Hi Sushant,
Thx!
The Health check tool seems to be OK now!
Still looking for my 'P' button in Personas 3. Doesn't seems to appear in my browser.
I've the admin role assigned to my user.

Hans

Hi,
We've all notes implemented, but the issue remains...
Also another issue occurs
We already installed Personas 2.0 on our system.
Now, we installed Personas 3.0, so we actually have 2 different Personas running.
When we run our Health check, we see following info in this program:
PERSOS Level 0002
PERSOS Package SAPK-20002INPERSOS
Don't we need to see Personas 3.0 here?
Also, all roles & authorisations are applied, but we only the the WEBGUI in html5, no personas features here...

Hans

When running the Personas Health check, we still have an issue about the SAP Kernel.
Kernel release 742: OK
Kernel patch level 18: NOK
Any suggestions?
Thx!

Hey Robert, Sushant,
we are also in the Ramp Up Programm. The Kernel is also not available in /SWDC, i hope that will change in some days.
We are also testing SAP HANA on the same system. Are there any kown specials/problems which we should notice ?
best regards
Martin

Hey Robert, Peter,
today I received a download link for SAP kernel 742 from SAP support as reply to my CSN message. According to the feedback of the support employee, it should be available in the software download page /swdc any day.
I've already installed it and personas 3.0 is up and running. There seem to be some issues with IE11, I'll have to check this.
Unfortunately you cannot use a personas 3.0 frontend system and create flavors for a backend system (with lower kernel) any more...
Regards
Wolfgang
